Station: Hurst, MI

Hurst was a station on the Alpena & Northern (later D&M) railroad's Valentine Lake branch which was established in 1894. It was located five miles south of LaRocque in Presque Isle County, near the intersection of 634 and Bamma Lane. Plat maps indicate that an individual named "J. Hurst" owned property here.

1900. May. The Huron Handle and Lumber Co. had 700,000 feet belonging to this company and are burning today near Hearst. [BHHP-1900-0504]
