Location: Rogers City Junction, MI

When the Detroit & Mackinac railroad built a branch north to serve Rogers City and the huge Michigan Limestone Quarry, they called the junction point Rogers City Junction. The railroad had a wye here, as well as a passing track on the northeast leg of the wye. Prior to building this branch, there was a location called "South Rogers City" which was near here. The railroad likely booked express for this location and it was carted north through the woods to Rogers City until the branch was built.
