This former C&O/CSX bascule drawbridge spans the Saginaw River on the north end of downtown west of Potter Street station.  The bridge is now closed to river traffic and is locked in the closed position.

Bottom - A view of the bridge from Mershon Tower on the west side of the river.  The track off to the right goes to the C&O industrial trackage along the NYC and GTW in west Saginaw.  Note the communications poles along the C&O, which appea to have held as many as 60 wires.  This would have supported circuits from Saginaw to Ludington.  The ground pole lines on the left side of the C&O track are from Mershon and control the switch to the wye.  [Charles Geletzke]
