Station: Inkster, MI

The Inkster area was settled around 1825 and called Moulin Rouge. A sawmill was established here in the early 1860's. The town was renamed Inkster in 1863 and a Michigan Central railroad station was established in 1878. The town became a village in 1926 and a city in 1964. [MPN]
