Station: Brampton, MI

Brampton, in Delta County, was settled in 1864 and called Day's River. The settlement was located on the C&NW ore line between Escanaba and Ishpeming, about 13 miles north of Escanaba. This was in Section 21 of Brampton Township T41N-R22W.


Notes

The railroad had a 4,125' passing siding here, as well as a water tank and pump house for filling locomotives. The depot was originally a bay window depot.

The railroad crossed the Day's River on a trestle bridge. The river was dammed and the railroad had a pump house, water tank, and coal house here in 1921 on the east side of the right-of-way. [CNWV]
