The Castle-Meteor Mine was located about 1/2 mile east of Sunday Lake in Wakefield. It covered section 10 and 11 of T47N-45W.
The Castile began in 1886 and closed in 1923. The Meteor began in 1890 (called the Norton Mine) and was developed into a mine in 1900 and operated until 1904. Six million tons of ore were shipped under the North Mikado mine name.Time Line
