Location: Ironwood, MI - Interurban Facilities

The Gogebic & Iron County Railway & Light Company, operators of the interurban between Montreal, WI an Jesseville (via Ironwood and Bessemer) had a car barn on Aurora (US-2) near Scott Avenue in Ironwood. The interurban also had a passing siding here, east of the car barn. [CERA]

Time Line

1921. Orders have been issued by E.L./ Hinchcliff of the Traction company that all street cares shall come to a full stop at Luxmore street to eliminate the possible chance of accidents to automobiles and pedestrians. [IDG-1921-0106]
