Timetable: C&NW - Michigamme Branch - Ishpeming to Michigamme

The C&NW Michigamme Branch was constructed west from Clowry to Michigamme in 1888 to reach new mines near Lake Michigamme. This line was parallel to the DSS&A's line to Nestoria, and crossed the DSS&A at an interlocking tower in the town of Michigamme, near the lake.

The line was pulled up in Michigamme and west of Martin's Landing in 1930, leaving a wye at that location to turn locomotives and serve a Scott Paper Co. pulpwood loading facility. [MRL]. This line had technically been abandoned in 1933 but in 1939 4.7 miles were placed back into service west to Johnson's siding  The train ran once or twice a week to this location. [CNWPD2]
