This was the western half of the Grand Trunk Western main line which crossed Michigan between Port Huron and Chicago.

Notes: This line was a double track main with automatic block signals. From High Street to Arnold street the GTW used the New York Central main line through downtown South Bend. The station a Chicago was shared with the CW&I.
