Choo choo! We're excited to announce a brand-new family-friendly event in our annual lineup of programming — All Aboard Adventure in Greenfield Village. For one special weekend, May 16-17, experience a village-wide celebration where steam, big machines and classic play come to life for children of all ages. Railroad experiences take center stage with unlimited steam and diesel train rides designed to spark imagination and behind-the-scenes railway access. Push a discovery railcar, help maneuver the historic DT&M Roundhouse turntable, sit in the cab of the 1897 D&LN #7 locomotive and watch a working crane in motion. Beyond the railroad, little explorers can also climb aboard working emergency and construction vehicles at Detroit Central Market, enjoy lawn games and open-air amusements on the Village Green, and take part in story times, live music and crafts throughout the day. All Aboard Adventure is free for members or included with standard village admission (free for children 4 and under), with complimentary train rides offered throughout the weekend. |
