Mine: North Lake Mine, MI

Notes

The North Lake Mine was operated by the Lake Mining Company which organized in 1908. The mine cut into the Butler Lode on the 800 foot crosscut and was followed by a drift 30 feet in length. The crosscut was repoted to contain good amounts of copper; however, no ore was shipped from this mine. The mine continued exploratory work into the 1920's. Datolite and copper can be found on the rock piles that remain. [MINDAT]
