1910. Leased line south of Kalamazoo from the Chicago, Kalamazoo & Saginaw railroad. [MRRC]

1928. Became part of the Grand Trunk Western railroad system.

2005. The C&KT started building in 1906. It was bought by the GTW soon after and along with the Kalamazoo-Pavilion branch of the Michigan Central (which GTW leased) gave the GT entry into Kalamazoo. In July, the last remaining rails of this road north of the Checker Motors Plant were removed. This part of a railroad track realignment project by the federal government will allow a better connection to Checker by the NS from their former LS&MS trackage. It will also eliminate the C&^KT grade crossing at Mosel Avenue. [MRF-2005-09]
