The Michigan United Railways was organized in 1909 and consolidated many interurban railroads in south central and southwest Michigan. This was an electric interurban line. The railroad was liquidated in 1929.

1906-1912. Acquired many electric interurban lines in Michigan
1912. June. Charges of embezzling funds from the M.U.T. railway company by which they were employed as conductors, Charges Abbott and Fred Baigel are under arrest and officials declare that a third man will be taken into custody. Abbott was the oldest employee of the company in point of service. [LSJ-1912-0619]
