The Midland & Hubbard was constructed in 1894 was was principally a logging line. In 1899, the ten mile long line was sold to the Bay City & Battle Creek railway (a unit of the Michigan Central) and some of the trackage was used in the approach to Midland and Dow Chemical. [MRL]
