Station: Comstock, MI

MC Comstock Depot Comstock was settled about 1831 about five miles east of downtown Kalamazoo in Kalamazoo County. Comstock was on the Michigan Central main line.

Time Line

1875. A freight train off the track on the MC main line at Comstock was the cause of both night trains being transported over the Air Line, thus shutting off the night mail on the main line between Jackson and Niles. [DFP-1875-0526]

1917. The MC had a freight agent here who was not an operator. [TRT]

1920.  On the Michigan Central, this is a passenger, freight and express agency joint with the American Railway Express Company. Interline tickets are not issued. L. S. Gale is the agent. [MCOAS]
