Station: Walker, MI

Interurban at Walker Walker was a station on the Kalamazoo, Lakeshore & Chicago inter urban railroad about 11 miles southwest of downtown Kalamazoo. It was at MP 45.5 (miles from South Haven).

Photo Info: The interurban car sits at the Walker depot and power station. There is a passing siding here and the 3rd rail power source is visible. The slats in the foreground are a cattle guard.

Notes

At this location, the inter urban cars were powered by an electrified third rail, seen in the photo.

The railroad had an electrical substation here, as evidenced in the photo.
