Location: Ishpeming, MI - DSS&A / C&NW Deer Lake Branch Crossing

This was a grade crossing of the DSS&A main line (former M&W) and the Deer Lake Branch of the C&NW. It was located on Canda Street near Spruce Street.


Notes

This crossing was owned and maintained by the DSS&A under an agreement dated January 22, 1884. [CNWV]

Just east of this crossing (at Lake Street), the DSS&A and C&NW had double crossover tracks between the main lines of both organizations. There was a flagman's shanty at both Lake Street and Pine Street crossings. All of this was within yard limits. [CNWV]
