Station: Bagdad, MI

Bagdad MI railroadsBagdad, in Marquette County, was the site of a stone quarry in the 1850's. The settlement was six miles west of Marquette and given a station on the Duluth, South Shore & Atlantic railway at milepost 160.3 about 1890. Bagdad Junction is located about one mile west of here. [MPN]

The LS&I crossed overhead the DSS&A just east of this location. Today, the LS&I continues to cross overhead. The DSS&A line is low a bike trail.
