Diamond Junction was a junction of the Soo Line (Marquette to Negaunee main line) and the LS&I main line west from Eagle Mills to Negaunee and Ishpeming. It was formerly an interlocked crossing of both lines known as Eagle Mills Crossing. It was part of the joint line CTC and later an automatic interlocking.

After the crossing was removed, the lines were joined and the Soo Line used the LS&I to reach the joint line at LS&I Junction.
