Location: Eagle Mills Junction, MI

Eagle Mills Junction was located at MP Q68.13 of the LS&I's Ore Subdivision, 0.53 miles north of Palmer Line Junction and 0.63 south of Queens Siding. In 2001, this was a control point on the LS&I operated CTC. Heading north, the switch sent traffic right to Eagle Mills, and left to Hogan Ore Yard and LS&I Junction.

Notes

Eagle Mills Crossing was a separate crossing at a different location. See Diamond Junction for additional details.

Time Line

1902. The railroad commission orders the LS&I and the DSS&A to establish a first-class interlocking switch and signal system at a grade crossing here, and noted as at Eagle Mills. [MCR-1903]. Not sure if this is the same as Eagle Mills Junction.
