The Chicago & North Western railroad had a five track yard in Negaunee along their main line, just south of the DSS&A bridge. The tracks in the yard appear to be less than 1,000 feet in length. They also had a connection here with the DSS&A to use the new Union Station in Negaunee. The yard here likely served the Negaunee freight house and perhaps area mines. [CNWV]
This yard is different from the Hogan Ore Yard which was built east of Negaunee in the 1960's.
