Camp 1 was a logging camp of the Kneeland Lunden & Bigelow. It was noted in the Detroit Free Press as being 12 miles east of Gaylord in Otsego County.

Time Line
1919. July. A forest fire is menacing at Camp 1, about 12 miles east of Gaylord, and a large force of men has been working all day in an endeavor to turn the fire from the camps and o save other property. [DFP-1919-0712]
