Location: St. Clair Railroad Tunnel (old)

Electric locomotives at the St. Clair Tunnel Port Huron tunnel view Port Huron has had two railroad tunnels, both single track. The first was built in the 1870's and powered by electric locomotives until the railroad was dieselized in the early 1960's. The new, larger bore tunnel was built in the 1990's and the old tunnel closed.
