Bronson Portland Cement PlantThe Bronson Portland Cement Plant, also known as Bronson Cement, was a cement plant that operated near Bronson, MI, in Branch County. It was known for its shale pit and its association with Wolverine Portland Cement company. The plant was 12 miles north-northeast of Bronson.


Notes

The plant was part of the Peerless Portland Cement Company and the Wolverine Portland Cement Company.

Marl deposits near Cobb's Lake (near the L. S. & M. S. Railway Fort Wayne branch) provided the foundation for the cement industry in the Bronson area.
