Foster City DepotFoster City MI Foster City was settled around 1884. It was originally in Menominee County until Dickenson County was established in 1891. [MPN] Foster City was on the C&NW Metropolitan/Felch branch, about 10 miles east of Metropolitan.

Time Line

1887. Along the C&NW Felch Mountain branch, a number of forest fires have been burning continuously nearly two weeks. The Harmon Lumber Company's mills at Foster City were saved with difficulty. Losses of standing pine are enormous. [DFP-1887-0521]

1918. The C&NW had an agent operator here on the day shift. [TRT]

1931. The MPUC grants permission to the C&NW to discontinue ts Foster City station as an agency station and to continue the same as a prepay station with caretaker. [MPUC-1931]
