Location: Jackson, MI - MC Coach Yard
The Michigan Central's coach yard was located on the north side of the main line just east of the baggage building at Jackson union station. In earlier years, a coach yard locomotive/crew added and subtracted cars from main line trains and made up trains for the various branch lines to Grand Rapids, Saginaw, Toledo, Cincinnati, Fort Wayne and Niles/South Bend.
Notes
According to old 1940's photographs, there were about four tracks in the coach yard.
