Station: Yorkville, MI

Yorkville in Kalamazoo County was settled about 1833. This was a station on the Detroit, Toledo & Milwaukee railroad about three miles southeast of Richland in Kalamazoo County.


1920 - IN THE MATTER OF THE APPLICATION OF MICHIGAN RAILROAD COMPANY FOR PERMIISSION TO DISCONTINUE THE AGENTS AT THEIR GULL LAKE JUNCTION, SHELBYVILLE, BRADLEY AND YORKVILLE STATION.

After due notice to parties in interest, this matter was brought on for hearing before the Commission at their offices in the City of Lansing on Friday, April the 23rd, at which time parties in interest were heard and arguments offered in regard to this matter.

The Commission, after due consideration of the Transcript of testimony taken in connection with said matter, have determined that they are justified in granting permission to the Michigan Railroad Company to discontinue their agent at Gull Lake Junction, Bradley and Yorkville. 

THEREFORE, it Is HEREBY ORDERED : That permission be and the same is hereby granted to the Michigan Railroad Company to discontinue the agents at their Gull Lake Junction, Bradley and Yorkville Stations.
