Station: Walkerville, MI (Oceana County)

Walkerville was settled about 1883 in northwest Oceana County. It was originally called Stetson but renamed Walkerville in 1898. It became a village in 1908. [MPN]

Walkerville was at the end of a Mason & Oceana Railroad, a 3' narrow gauge line running south from the Ludington area.

Notes

The railroad had a coaling station and water tank south of here. The railroad also had a wye 2-3 miles north of Walkersville. [M&O]

This was reported as a terminus of the Butters and Peters logging railroad. [SAG-1891-0511]
