Location: Swanton, OH - Unit Coal Train Staging Yard
In Spring, 2017, Norfolk Southern began building a unit coal training staging yard just east of Swanton, Ohio in Lucas County, OH. Once complete, the yard will have four through tracks capable of holding 130 car unit trains on each track, as well as a small stub-end yard for car repair.
Note: The adjacent town of Swanton, OH is in Fulton County.
