Station: Au Train, MI

Au Train Depot with Train Au Train was a hamlet near Lake Superior, about 10 miles west of Munising. It was served by the Detroit, Mackinac & Marquette railway, which became part of the DSS&A.

Time LIne

1893. July. Workmen at Stickney's lumber camp at the foot of Trout Lake south of this place, while breaking rock for a river dam, found a number of large pieces of native copper. Those interested will make a careful investigation. [PHTH-1893-0721]

1918. The DSS&A had an agent/operator here during the day shift. [TRT]

1931. The MPUC approves the discontinuance of Au Train as an agency station, however a caretaker will be in charge of the station. [MPUC-1931]
