Location: Lake Linden, MI - Houghton Falls Trestle (COPR)

The Copper Range railroad had a bridge on its line from Lake Linden to Calumet Junction over the Hammell Creek near Douglas Houghton Falls. This bridge was known as No. 30, and was 350 feet long and 120 feet high. It was said to be the highest railway bridge in Michigan. [DFP-1969-0713]


Notes

The location of the bridge was at 47.204938, -88.415200. 

The bridge was removed sometime after the new Keweenaw Central railroad ended operations between Calumet and Lake Linden in the early 1970's.
